BTL question

I have been considering buying a 18" FI BTL ... the rms is 2000 but i was just wondering if some1 out there with one could tell me what i should run it at w/o doing any harm to it at all cuz money is tite and i dont want to blow it lol thanks

How much power do you have or are you looking at? Also, power handling is option and application dependant...

well im thinking about runnin it at 3000 daily but not sure yet thats why i made this post cuz i heard they take 5k daily and i also heard they only take 3.5k max w/o doing any damage so i honestly have no idea and i also have never heard one... i have been having a hard time on deciding whether to get 2x mojos (300 each)or this btl(400) i am just tryin to make the best descion i can because this will probably be my last upgrade

i ran mine with 4k and i seen some apps with more power they take alot, i got a fully loaded one in the clasifieds just recone dual 1

The reason there is an RMS rating is for you to follow.

That way you dont have to come to the forum and ask. Instead you go on the Fi site and look, oh 2k rms cool. Now you know not to run more than 2k unless you know what you are doing.

2k is for a "stock" btl....He's contemplating the purchase of mine which is fully loaded. I told him I've seen them take upwards of 5kw (Steve Meade), but of course he has his in tiny boxes. In a larger box, they couldn't take near that power.

2500-3000 RMS in 7 cubes net I'd say would be sufficient. Wouldn't you?
