And just because my cell phone cam sucks, here's the stock pic:

I installed this thing in an Isuzu Rodeo for my buddy Charles. It cost him $190 from a local shop (Street Soundz FTW!) I gotta say- it was a good price because to get the same thing online with shipping, it'd be about the same price. Charles got a Wally World amp kit for $25, so the total cost of the system was $215 + tax.

Anyhow, I wasn't expecting much, I mean.... it's a PA 10" powered sub. Well, I installed it in a little under an hour, and fired it up. I gotta say, I was very, very impressed with this little bugger. I mean for a $200 package, this is very hard to beat. Especially since we bought it retail, BNIB. It got pretty darn loud for what it was, and the SQ was excellent. I mean it's no W6V2 or Mag or anything, but for a PA, it sounds excellent. It got pretty low, too. It played down to the low 30's and didn't complain. It's a very compact little package, too. That's the main reason my friend bought it. He's always carrying stuff around and wanted something that didn't take up much space.

The only thing I saw that was wrong with it is that the attached amp gets pretty warm pretty quick. I set the gains a tad high, though.

Pretty sweet... Always nice to know there is someone out there just looking for good sound and not the loud boom //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

BTW, If that is Charles he looks like a fun dude to kick it with, but why all the water?? He workout or does his Rodeo overheat all the time?

He works out a lot and doesn't like the tap water here. He is really cool to kick it with, though. But yeah, he's extremely satisfied. He got everything he wanted- decently loud, sounds good, and small. We took it back to the shop where we got it to show to the guy who sold it to us. He was very surprised at the output and SQ. An installer came out of the back and he said when he first saw it, he thought it would ****. But when he heard it, he was very impressed.

pretty easy to please eh jman? Think that sucker is in the 130's?

It ain't no SPL machine, let me tell you. I gave it a 4 on SPL because it's a 10" sub in a tiny azz box with a radiator on 250w. I seriously expected half-assed output like that of a stock 8" sub. But everyone at the shop was really impressed, as was I.

i am planning on purchasing this power acoustik to go along with my component speakers for some more bass and i was wondering what gauge wire u use? i currently have 4 gauge power wire running to a current amp that power my component and wonder if that is enough? also u just pretty much plug and play this item rite by connecting the rca and speaker wires? should i also be worry about any electrical problems such as my alternator failing or battery dying?
