BTL hates my garage

So I went out in the garage and did some testing with my clamp meter to get an idea of my impedance rise. Turns out the BTL doesnt care too much for my garage, I thought it was gonna fall apart.

This big *** glass pickle jar fell down right behind me, almost hit me on the head //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif Scared the shit outta me though.

Found out Im getting ~1660 actual watts going to the BTL. Not too bad, thats a rise from .7dcr to right around 4ohm. Again though thats a quick test and I only used about 5 different tones ranging from 30-50hz.

id say thats a pretty normal impedance rise in my opinion anyways.

i was getting like 1600w or so at 3.9 ohm from a 1.9 dcr on a kx2500.1 rated at 3k. some of the louder freq, were only in the 900w range or so. i think people would be surprised if they knew exactly how loud their subwoofers can get off of very little power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yup, thats what I figured. Its crazy how little power it is seeing at times. That 1660 was at 35hz and then at 40hz rise went to 6 and the subs only seeing 1200watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif Thats with a different port than whats in it now, I need to clamp it again and run a range of tones and then put it all on a graph at some point.
