I really loved my btl 15, but I'm always for mixing up the setup so here I am. It really shined with this box and power. I did a direct swap out with a m3mojo 15 and it sounded near identical. Loud, clear, and great on music. great blend of highs and lows. What else will take 3kw-4kw with lots of daily abuse? I wanted to try and MT but without that werll of venting i'm hesitant.

I was thinking maybe an RD heavyweight, dc lvl5, night shade, 9515g.....something that can be had for 400 or less, cheaper the better.

PSI could probably whip you up something nice.....

it'd be closer to 150-175 for a recone through him. an fi recone is gonna be around 130-140 for me.

You wont be giving a single sub 4k.
on music and after imp rise i'm sure im in at least the 3kw range. amp is rated 4kw @ 1 ohm, and apparently does rated.

You can have PSI custom build what ever you want(with in the specs of the motor and basket). So you could recone the sub to be better then before. This is what I would do, much cheaper option then buying another sub and still lets you try something else.

Well if you want a different sound they can probably tweak the T/S slightly if you want a bit more bottom end or something so that might be a good route to go if you want a change as they can help you tweak it how you want. Other than that I'd try a nightshade like someone else said. I've heard they sound better than most SPL/daily subs and it's a good company.

Yep, not with a 3" coil for extended periods of time
i did with my btl for 2 years.... abusing the **** out of it daily. granted it was probably closer to 3-3.5kw on music, but still plenty of power with lots of torture. I was impressed with how long that lasted.

i miiight be getting my hands on a pair of eclipse ti pro 4hp 15's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. in which case i'd sell one here and keep the other. that's one option, the other is a local night shade for 300.

as far as reconing the btl. If i were to recone it then i'd be spending about 150. if i sell the btl motor for 150 then i can kick in that other 150 and get something new on a 300 dollar budget, which i'm okay with.
