Brutus... to much power?

I have a BX1500d out of my buddies totalled car. I just got a new car so I don't know how big of a bix I can fit yet but would I be better off with a Brahma or L7 with that amp and which that much power how big of a box would I need? I'm going for SPL but I want it sounding somewhat good to a variety of music. I'm leaning towards a ported Brahma for now and then go to a 2 ported brahmas with one brutus per sub. Upgrading the electrical system and adding a battery or two more isn't a problem, but if I did that would it even be worth upgrading the rear speakers or just concentrate on the fronts? If you can't tell I'm preaty new to this stuff. Thanks

A BX1500D is too much power for a Brahma. I had a 12" Brahma on a Gen XI Hercules [1,500 RMS] and ripped the spider off the frame from over-excursion... be careful. A Brahma should be 1,000 watts and under.

uhhh i have a brahma 15 mark 1 on a brutus and haven't had any problems yet. although i have mine in a small sealed box e-mail adire audio and they'll tell you what type of box would be best for your amount of power also you can always run the amp at 2 ohms at 800 watts

is there any 12" that would take that much power with a smile, no W7 way to much money, in the price range or a Brahma, less if possible. Would the TDX's take the power? I heard 2 ported TDX 12's with a battery and titanium PG amp per sub and it slammed so hard, completely destroyed my buddies 2 12W7 sealed setup. I'm looking for crazzy SPL while still sounding somewhat decent.... my friend are into this kinda stuff, the best sound quality I've heard is boston interiors, Z6's and 6x9's with 2 forward firing 12W7's, all JL amps, the ghetto system was best buy interiors off the head unit and 2 ported Xplod 12's with a 1600 watt legacy amp. I want better then the Xplod setup but the boston JL setup, he won a few shows for SQ and I can't tell the difference between his car and a decent sounding car, maybe I'm retarded but I want a happy medium with tons of SPL. I love SPL.
