Out of those two I would go with the brutus. I had the 2608d and was actually pretty impressed.for the price. I would never buy a broke Ass Monkey F@#$er

i may be wrong but doesnt that only do 2500@ 1ohm? which is the same as the hifonics pretty much

yes but, it is a much better board under rated, same exact board as american bass 3000d, you cant even compare the chinease crap to this xenon board

mclerico you need to go back and do some more homework, all the zenon boards are a rip off of the hifonic/maxxsonics boards. Just go back in look at the guts of the Brutus 2400d

look at the great craftsmanship of the new hifonics amps lol, hifonics use to be great untill maxxsonics bought them, also the autotek mean machine amps are built by zed audio so dont even bring them up. the brutus series is no where near as good as solid audio, and im not personally selling hime the solid audio, i have no gain in that.

and it still dosent justify that the amp is made with Chinese parts and not korean. only the upper xxv or crunch 3000gp are made in korea

if you go and talk to Mike at maxxsonics, he will tell you that all of their amps are made in Korea, not china and if you look at all the old discontinued maxxsonics amps you will find out how many of todays amps shares thier old technology

i wll stay away from maxxsonics as my friend is in the amp repair business and he see a high fail rate with them, i also have seen myself personally replaced a brutus amp with the cadence a7 amp rated at the same watts and watched the subs jump out of the box.

board layout is not what makes an amp, its the quality of parts etc, so you are saying your brutus is just as good as say a sundown with the same layout

my favorite budget amp is the lanzar vibe series.. theu really where a great budget amp.. i wish lanzar would take 3 lines and improve them.. the vibe opti and opti comp...
