Broken tinsel lead pics...fixable?

The shorter piece is about 1/2" to 3/4" .....

Is it able to be repaired/soldered?

Will it last or just end up ripping again?

do a search on here by bassaddictj or something like that. he has a nice tutorial on fixing it.

do NOT, i repeat, do NOT remove the dustcap and try to replace the leads that way. it just leads to more problems. i tried this with my btl and it was a failure. after i was done, one lead read .7 like it should, but he other lead was double //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
