bridging my amp

hey guys so ive learned that i am able to bridge my amp to drive my sub harder.

this is my sub

and this is the install and owners manuals to my amp.

i found info on bridging the amp in the install manual but i still dont fully understand what i should do.

ive been building computers and engines for a long time and im new to car audio. so please forgive my ignorance.

all i need to know is where to have the positive and negative leads (pos or neg of left or right and front or rear) of my sub wired to and what channel selection to have my amp on. (2 or 4 channel)

i tried with the switch on 2 channel, and the pos lead going to the rear left pos and the neg on the rear right neg and i got no response from the sub woofer.

i have my rear output RCAs going to the rear input on my amp with my sub on the rear left channel and the amp in 4 channel mode.

basically i want as much power going to the sub as possible. this amp is not powering anything but the sub so i want to get as much as i can out of it that my sub can handle.

please help me, im tempted to just go and start playing around with it till i get it but im afraid ill ruin my sub amp or car before i have any successful result.

TIA for any help!!!!!

ok so i got it bridged, i switched the input rcas to the front input and the the amps channel switch to 2 channel and wired the front left pos to the pos of my sub then the rear right neg to the neg of my sub.

Wow your amp is super old but it is at least a very nice old school amp. Judging from the diagram to properly bridge your amp to your subwoofer it looks like you are simply going to use the white and gray speaker wires. White being the positive and gray being the negative. That wiring diagram they give up is really funky looking though. You could probably sell this amp for some decent money(assuming its in good shape) and get an amp much better suited to running subwoofers. Your oldschool rockford amp is cool but not the greatest for what you are trying to do.
