bridging both +'s and -'s

say i want to a bridge an amp from the left + and the right _

if i were to also bridge it from the left - and right +, wouldnt that bring the load back to the same lvl as if it were wired normally?

I believe it would present 1/2 the ohm load, not 2x.

the only drawback would be losing stereo sound, obviously.

if nothing else - it would load the amp too low, and if you used impedances high enough for the amp to handle - it would defeat the purpose of bridging.

It isn't going to work like that. As stated above the load will be too low. It would probably smoke the amp pretty quick if you wire it up that way.
