How do I break in my subs? haha, j/k, so many of those in the past 2 weeks ive belong to this forum. My ? has to do with breaking in. Say I get my subs and amp and all wiring, is there a way to break them in not using the car? It would be nice to put them on a home receiver or something for like 24 hours so there ready to bump when they get in my car. Anything I can do???

well actually, i have a 10" home theater sub, it has bass level on it but it runs straight to my receiver. so you think i could just unplug the speaker wires from the home theater 10" and wire it to the subs?

Set it on its side , Do not set it on the magent if you have a vented pole in the back , The sub wont be able to breath/cool and it will fry it , Just set it on its side and support it up a little so nothing is hitting anyhting and let er go !

Not sure on the side is a good idea.. I used some scrap wood and made a spacer about 2" tall.. basically 2 stacks of wood, one on each side of the vent.. wide enough to hold the rest of the base.. worked well..

EDIT: if you have a 'faceplate' for a box already, you could just build some little legs on it for now, just enough to get it standing.. Or, like you said, leave something off of it (the bottom maybe? and put spacers under it so you don't have resistence?)
