I just got my system installed. 18" FI BTL and SAZ 3000D. Installer told me i should take it easy for the first 7 days. My question is do i really need to take it easy on the sub for the first few days. My 4 previous systems i never broke in any of the subs consisting of 13W7, 12W6V2s, Orions, and Kickers. Just wondering..................................

You don't have to do anything special to break it in, just play it normally and you will break it in in a few weeks.

Just play it at moderate volumes for a few hours.... Once the suspension loosens up some you can slam on it.. You could probably blast it now but when I had mine it sounded crappy for the first week then leveled out.. I played a 20hz free air tone for a couple minutes here and there and it gradually broke in.
