Hey im getting some CDT EF-61CFI/25 with a kicker zx550.2 amp and 2 type r 12" 4 ohm subs wired to 1 ohm on a hifonics1606d. Just wondering how long i should break them in for, how many playing hours or days/months ( how long should i baby them) and what should the gains be for them when they are being babied and then when they are broken in. And the cdt's are like 150wrms i think and the type r's are 500wrms but i heard they took 750 easy.

Thanks for the help in advance =).

Thanks fbi seems simple enough, and I read your thread on your fiberglass custom encloser and that's one of the coolest things i've ever seen lol. I'm clueless about car audio but I totally want to do that before I die =).

As already said, set your gains and you will be fine. However after 48 - maybe 72 or more hours of "playing time", you may need to tune your system again. (change eq and/or x-over settings) So don't spend a lot of time tuning initially, unless you don't have anything else to do. LOL
