Breaking in Alpine Speakers?

Just wanted to ask, when I get the Alpine type r component speakers installed. Is it okay to start tuning and testing right away? OR do I have to literally break them in first before tuning the speakers the way I like them to sound? Reason I ask is because I would have to crank it up for a little bit to tune to my liking.

Yeah, by ear. I actually do have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) So I'll spend quite amount of time on adjustments with the Amp and EQ. I'm quite a perfectionist when it comes to adjustments. Sometimes I stress myself out in adjusting just right. lol.

Thanks for those replies. Ok, so now regarding the SPR 6.5 speakers, I know there's mixed reviews on the harshness of the tweets. Would setting the crossovers to -4db mellow the tweets out where I can listen to a variety of music genres comfortably? Even if the tweeters are a little bright, that's fine, I just don't that ear hurting sound.
