lookin at new subs, lookin for power, kid at school has 2 solobaric's, how do you beat that?

i was lookin at RE and JL but im limited to about 300 for one sub at the moment, thats probly not gona get alot but whats the best i can get?

i will run it off my rockford p3002

300 is pretty good for a single sub, but that rockford amp is quite small if you wanna get wangin. chances are its underrated, but i'd imagine youre still only getting about 400-500 watts. anyways for ~300 dollars, i'd say the rl-p 15" is an excellent sub around that price range. what do you want from your setup? do you want strong, clean bass or just something that will beat 'the kid at school'? also, what car is this going into and how much space do you have for a box?

im looking for strong powerfull clean bass, cuz after i get more money ill buy another sub that im gona buy now and put them both together,

right now im driveing a ford escort wagon, LX its pretty big in the back and can fit alot of shit, but soon will be looking for a new car

so what are we looking at?

i also plan on upgradeing my amp to a JL 500/1

I've said it a dozen times but I'll say it again.

You can grab yourself a pair of Diamond Audio M6's (I have the 10") off of ebay or any other car audio website for relatively cheap. They do not require much space at all. They are very crisp and can pound when you are feeling the need.

I'd at least look into it.

Won't hit as hard as the RL-p which is a great suggestion at that price range, too.

i used to have two M6's, then changed to RL-p's. But don't get me wrong, the Diamond's were great while I had them. Don't see too many people with them either.

IMO he wont fully appreciate the capabilities of the rl-p. Especially with that power range. Going from that rockford will be an upgrade but not a huge leap, or A leap for that matter.

Get a 15" type R and a Hifonics 1000 and youll be set!
