It seems as though most manufacturers make equipment that matches, i.e. subs-amps. I'm not talking about "package deals" necessarily. But just spec matching stuff...
It seems that after my observations that most on here mix brands. My question is, why do you do it?
Is there a downside to sticking with the manufacturers recommended amp-sub combination, or is it simply a matter of some companies make better subs and others make better amps, so you want the best of both?
