Brand Loyalty

There are many people who will only buy one specific brand of audio equipment out of "loyalty". Some have a sponsorship, many do not. A lot of forum members here are dedicated to their FI's, DD's Sundown's ect. to the point where they feel everything else is crap and most don't even have any affiliation with the company. What causes people to be so passionate for a brand?

if one product works great for them i guess the automatically think everything else from the company will work just as good.

Some feel that way because they try one product and thoroughly enjoy it so they don't try anything else in fear that it'll be inferior.

But others nut-ride brands simply because it's popular on the forum, despite ever having tried the product.

The only reason I match is usually amps and that is just because it looks cleaner having a matching set of sub/component amps if they are going to be seen.

every single piece of equipment in my truck is a different brand. even my two batteries are different. i like to have some variance...

i think it comes down to like people hyping up a sub/amp and then people start to buy them and say it works out ok then more and more people buy there stuff.

i like matching amps and amps with mucho headroom, but i happen to run all ID speakers, mere coincidence however.

aka, ill buy any brand as long as its quality enough for me.

When I was first into audio I had all my equipment matching because I thought it would sound better, then I actually researched and learned more about car audio. I now have all mixed setups with no particular brand dominant and it sounds even better because I can get better products from other companies instead of settling for whatever the brand has available.
