brain fart

I've been around car audio for about 12 years, and I never noticed the difference between 4 ohms on a SVC or 4 ohms on a DVC.

Apparently a lot of other people in this thread didn't either!

For the smartasses in this thread... Why is it 1.34 ohm on a SVC compared to 2.67 on a DVC, both wired to 4 ohms per sub?

Cause you can't wire a dual 4 into 4 ohms on a sub...it is either 2 or 8.

But then again, I am not a dumass and I haven't been wiring subs for 12 years.....13 maybe but not 12. I did notice a difference between 4 ohms on a svc vs a dvc.....the dvc had 2 - 4 ohm coils.

I'm talking about wiring the subs in series-series..... not series-parallel like the diagrams/calculators show.

You would have half the load wired in true series.

I'm not talking about typical subs that give you 2 wiring options......2 or 8 ohms.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
