Bracing

For my box that will be sitting 4 12" L7s I think I'm going to go metal rod bracing. I have absolutely NO clue how to do it. I searched around a bit but didn't find anything extremely helpful. I was basically wondering, what exactly I need to buy, and how to assemble the bracing/support. The box is 10.4 cubes roughly and the top baffle is 1.5" thick. Thanks.

So do the rods clamp the box together? DO you drill a hole through both sides, put the rod though, put some caulk on the inside, washer the outside, and nut them up?

Check out Meads rods.

Ahh thanks. Well, I have no idea where to look to buy these, what diameter rods to get, etc. Could someone point me in the right direction, like sears hardware or something? Thanks guys for the help.

Actually crap, that means I'm gonna have the ends sticking out on the bottom of my box.... err, how should i work around this? I didn't really want to flush mount this setup. Maybe I should stick with traditional bracing.

i would think some dowel rods would do the same thing as metal rods, plus you dont have to worry about any air leaks with wooden dowels. plus, its on the inside of the box and you'll never see it so who cares how it looks

True, metal bracing tends to take up minimal space though. Are dowel rods big cross shaped wood pieces?

Edit: nvm i found what they look like. Would you just put a screw in there with some wood glue?
