Boxing/UFC

im not even that far into it, more than likley i'll just continue my training but probably not box and dive straight into MMA, im not sure how the weight classes work there though.
right now im down to 140 and trying to get back to 165 with a ~6-9 bodyfat
If you plan to seriously compete in MMA, the training is like a job. If you train with any sort of reputable academy you'll be looking at at least 4-6 hours daily 5-6 days a week. It takes a lot of devotion and dedication, and if you're just getting into BJJ now you have a lot of catching up to do. But if you're just doing it for fun, have at 'er.

im no stranger to hard training, i've got a long road infront of me. i think thats a part of the fun though. its going to be a funny feeling starting from the bottom though. my ground game is weak

He's a legend in the form of a pioneer with excellent ground skills. He's not the end all and be all, even in BJJ tournaments. Hell, even Wallid Ismael beat him on points.

Bas Rutten lost because he's a mediocre fighter with a pancrase background. Like Ken, he was all hype used to sell tickets. And Frank killed him in a Pancrase match because you can't close fist strike. It's an open palm. Frank laughed at Bas when he was hitting him in the head. His striking isn't even anything to write home about.
i saw that one. thats when frank was makin faces at him hahaahaahahaahaahahaha!!

Who do you have to train with? I had Thomas Cruise, a Renzo Gracie brown belt, and some sick Muay Thai fighters. Not a huge selection around these parts, but take what you can get.

his names Alix Hernandez (iirc) he trained under one of the gracie's not sure which one though. i haven't had much of a chance to talk to him other than bullshiting because im constantly away. this summer i'll start in very seriously, until then i can't due to the distance (im moving back to my hometown to goto KU, he's only 30 miles away). right now im just working on gaining weight and keeping my body fat low

Judgeing by Bas's record i wouldnt call him a b level. Usually b level fighters arnt champs in the ufc //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yeah, his massive record of 2-0 (UFC 18 & 20 in 1999) firmly establishes him as one of the top fighters in the game. And there are plenty of b level fighters that have been champs in the UFC.
