Boxing of 12's

I have 2 X12's in a ported box. There are two ports in the box. The box has two chambers. So each sub has its own chamber and port.

My friend recently suggested that I take this chamber out and just have one port for the box. What do u all think? I need some advise urgently and I definitely need to get more sound from my subs. Basically more kick ass bass. By the way I have 1000W Pyle gear subs. What kind of box does 12's play the best in. I know that this all depends on what brand of subs u r using. Please reply ASAP....

I agree with Dr. No. If that box was properly designed, then each sub was tuned to reproduce a certain freq. through the ports. If you were to change it then I would say the entire box would have to be rebuilt and recalculated for 1 port.

THX for the advice guys. Really appreciate it. By the way I am thinking of getting me different 12's. The Pyle does not really kick. But I think I should first get me a more powerful amp b4 I do this. If it still plays **** then I am definitely gonna change.
