hey

ive got a couple of boxes laying around the house i wanna see if i can get rid of

the first is a dual 12" wedge box that is 32w x 16H x 16/20D (16 on top and 20 on bottom) with seprate chambers and slot ports, the cu ft (before speaker disp but after port) of each chamber is roughly 1.8 cu ft (so 3.6 total) and with the subs i had, the ports were tuned to about 39 hz (tuning will vary slightly depending on sub displacement size, and its painted black and has circular, pinch type terminal cups. denetions are 32x16.5x.....um 16 or 18 (dont remember, will measure and edit later

the other is a box that i build to factory specs to a RE SX 12 ( but i decided to get a sx15 instead): 2.5 cu ft tuned to 32 hz after the disp, of the port and an sx12

, this is just the mdf color and has liquid nails on the seems to be sure its sealed perfectly, also, the terminals are bolts through the box but i backed the internal wire with 14 ga speaker wire that i just saughtered both wires together to make up for any current loss, i put a vmax in it and it sounded great, no different than a similar box that i paid almost 200 bucks for (hindsight is 20/20 i guess)

i realize that "this post is worthless without pics" but im on spring break about 400miles from home and wont be home till tomarro night, ill post them later

i basically would just like to get my money for materials back for them so..... make me some offers

i will say about that box that the hole cut out is kinda rough because my jigsaw was being gay but i mounted a sub in it and you cant tell the difference because its under the sub

really doent even matter because you dont see it but i thought id mention it

LOL. I encountered a flakko sub hole in person..... not a pretty sight.

and to stay on topic, box 2 sounds sweet. I would probably pick it up if I was local.

now im in business, heres 'box 1'

i admit there is a little port noise, but its not that bad, and the v-maxs i had in them got really loud. its also ready-wired for 2 dual 4ohms subs to be ran at 1ohm

in the first pic you can see the layout of the port from where i drew it for screw refrence

theres the bolt terminal, simple, but clean, and then the 14 ga speaker wire fused together to make bigger wire

all the edges of both boxes are cleanly roughted and sanded
