so i have a new question... i has a prefabbed box for my tahoe that goes under the second row seat and i want to possibly add a port to each chamber to get some more spl.... now the box is

60 CU.FT

the subs i have displace

.07 per woofer

so brings the total to

.53 per chamber

now the subs im getting call for .5 tuned to 35hz is this possible by adding an aeroport... i checked psp-inc. and with a 1 inch port i can get the tuning needed by makeing the port 1" x 2.5".... would there be any negative effects to adding the port to the box... ? also will adding the port bring down the total cf. of the box if so by how much?

That port would be way too small. I'd go with a 2" aeroport from psp at partsexpress.com, at the very least.

What subs are you using?

cool thanks for the advice now the only problem is if i use a 2 inch aeroport it almost triples the required length so that may be to big for my box... im going to be using either the re rex 8" or dd 8".... undecided yet.... what about running 2 1" ports?
