The ssa store has the ssa gcon 10" speced at an optimal ported box of 1.75-2.00ft^3 tuned at 28-33hz. Can someone give me a rough estimate on the dimensions of a square or rectangle box?

For example I put in 15x15x15 with .75 thickness = 1.42 cubic feet. Do I need to add in anything or is that it?

using inches you can do ((L)-(.75)x(W)-(.75)x(H)-(.75))/1728. that will give you internal cubic feet. someone correct my formula if you see something incorrect.

24x24x24 is roughly 1.7 cubes after displacement of wood

You will need to increase volume to accommodate sub and port displacement.

Do your best not to do a square box if you are going to port. They don't reach full potential for a reason I'm not versed enough to explain. Assuming it is geometry of the wave and them being unable to properly load.

I knew something was missing but did know what. So how do I do that?

BTW are boxes ridiculous to ship? Couple people I would like to buy from on the site (box, sub, and amp) but not sure on some of the shipping with bigger items

I am not building just trying to get a grasp on sizes...making it x by x by x just made it easier for me to picture if that makes sense...

What would cost be for something like that shipped to say 48367? If this is not the right place sorry for asking...
