building a box for an old re RE8, going .7 after displacement, tuned to 32hz.

i dont know how to do the tuning though.. box is 14 wide 12 tall 9 deep.

built in half in mdf.

so i have .825 ft^3 before displacement.

lmk how to do this... need help. can go deeeper, or wider, just not taller.

When you are looking for a specific tuning frequency, the process is to figure for what port area will give you the most pressure or efficiency without creating port noise. Then figure for a length at that point that will assist in the tuning based on how big the box is. There may be some formulas online that will give you the ability to calculate the length of a port based on compression volume and port area, but as far as accuracy, they may need to be verified before you begin construction with someone who has the ability to check that information for you. I can do this for you but I do charge for my calculations to be done. Then making sure that it is exterior from the volume required or calculated for. The best type of simplified port construction is based on bending it around the enclosures compression area. I hope that helps a little on what to do or guides you in the process of where to start.
