box lettering

just wondering from those who have done it, or tried 1/4"........ i ran out of 1/8" board, so i'm getting ready to use 1/4" board to letter a box. too much to stretch the vinyl over? i'll keep looking around my garage for stashed 1/8" just good aphulstry grade from a local shop, not the wal-mart stuff.

Depends on what your doing, I typically use 1/4"

if I run out of foam (i usually use this for raised lettering), I sometimes go the route of poster board.

Well, I ended up using the 1/4" paperboard and splitting it down to 1/8" thick for the 5" letters and keeping it @ 1/4" for an 8" "P" but filling it back to 1/8" in the middle....... I tell you what- I really would have not been able to get all of them @ 1/4" before the cement dried....
