Focal 33v1 subwoofer box. very efficient sub. highest recommended enclosure is 1.4 cubes tuned to 37hz. this one ended up 1.5 at 36hz. a little off, but it shouldn't be a big deal in a DD. things went wrong from the start. circle cutter for the router broke, so i had to do the cutout by sight. the guide on my saw got bent when i dropped it. didn't notice until i cut a sheet of mdf:mad:but it's done on time. pushed it a little close.

in hindsight. i would not put lacquer on it. looks better without a gloss finish.

what did you use on it before the paint....check out my build log....looks like you used what I did but I didn't lacqure it
lacquer sucks. you did right. if you get a tight enough bond at your seams, not much work is required other than a primer coat. textured paint covers everything. i just touch up a little here and there with either wood glue mixed with saw dust or spackle (if it's a small blemish).

Yea I'm an auto body guy.....I went a little overboard on the prep for the texture paint. I didn't think it would have as much texture as it did.

With all the prep work I did I could have got out my hlvp and got a nice finish...lol

gloss finish is tough. if you have a good table saw, doing 45 degree cuts makes it alot easier. almost labor free if you use a roundover on the corners. my table saw sucks, so getting accurate cuts and a 45 is hit or miss.

Great box, what stuff do you use to cover that stuff, I know you told me last time we met, but I figure I'd try it out for meh self

and where can it be purchased?
