Box for 2x12" ed K's

hey guys i need to kknow the dimensions for a box for my 2 12" edk's. Im looking for best SQ sound possible. I got a small trunk (toyota paseo).

On edseigns site they say that 1.00cf is for best sound, so does that mean i need a box that is 2x1x1feet (24x12x12inches)?? and if so does this change the power i need going to the subs?

will a jbl 1200.1 do the trick?

i am doing the same set up. i have been told by people to use that amp. i am building my box 40x13x8 9/16 so it will be 2 cubic ft when i get done with it. i need it as narrow as i can so i can have room for hydros
