ok, now how do you figure out the spl and hz , and i think its sq?(im new at this).

do you have to have some kind of meter???

witch would be better 4 a Ford rager(1990) ext.cab?(ported or seald)

a friend had a pair of those in a .83 cu ft sealed after sub..they sound like sh!t..we built a 1.25 cuft after displacement and they beat! but like jmac said(didn't i say that somewhere already...hmmm...hehe)throw them in the recommended ported box(i shot for around 30 hz) and beat away!

i sure hope to hell you aren't putting those in that ranger...there is no legroom in my friends w/ 2 10's much less 12's. And you can forget about a ported box, much less a sealed...just no room...All of this is true only if you're puttin it in that ranger, if not, ignore my rude comments //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Theres a fair amount of room behind the seats....sure its not optimal, but it works. A small sealed box would work well. The MTX Thuner 6000 subs seem to be pretty popular with regular cab trucks. Shallow mounting depth, decent power handling, and they will give you some decent boom.

If worst comes to worst...a cut through box might be in the works:)

Or a custom center console always works....

But anyways, you have lots of room for a box - now that you mention its an Ext. cab.
