Ok so i have a 10in MTX 8500 sub. MTX says to make a box that is 1.45 (net). i found that its tuned to 41 Hz.

So i wanted to make a box for to fit in the trunk of a old stang. I want to change the tuning Hz to 35 Hz. I make the box 1.52 cubes before dispplacement. So at 1.45 cubes and with a port that is 9.75 tall by 2 in wide by 25 in long would i get my 35 Hz? Thanks Andrew

you tune by adding length to a port, but 9.75 x 2 in inches seems a little akward for a port opening? and if you don't add length, basically its just a vent //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

what do you need help with? figuring out how long to make the port? there are simple calculators on the net to help you with that....alot of people i know trust this one, works pretty good so long as you know your exact measurements.....

and 35 hz is whatever you want, depends on what type of music you listen to, honestly you should start lower, like 30 hz, and work your way up.

but you'll find that 34-38hz is a decent range for daily, so 35 should work.
