I am giving mine 1100 watts each so i think it sould get pretty loud....

As for pics of it installed.... Today alone we have gotten 20" of snow so no its not installed yet... Plus I am still waiting on my amps to get here... Pics of it installed will be up asap!!!

Do you plan on playing them at full volume with 1100watts rms per sub for like the entire length of young jeezy song or just for a 10 seconds or so?. I bet they will start to smell at 1100rms over 3 minutes, just giving ya a heads up.

I've used a couple different amps to power these subs..

One was a VX2200D that did 2250rms when it was powering my two type R's I had to bring the gains way down because a full 1100rms per R was too much IMO. I'd say set the gains so each sub gets about 900rms.

Your port's bond strength is questionable at best since you painted over the bond.

And bud, you're going to blow those r's feeding them that much power daily in that large of a box (not that it's too large, but it's proper size for RMS power, not over 2x it).

That video is sick!!! Your truck looks great!!! Did you ever have it on a meter??? And thank you for the warning... I bought 2 of the amps because i plan on getting another 2 R's and running each set at 1 ohm..... therefore 800 watts to each of the 4 type R's... Do you still have your R's?

I sold my R's in that box a month ago, made some good money off of them and bought a 18" BTL. I never got it metered before I sold it, but it was very loud with each sub getting 600rms off of the Orion Xtreme 1200. And with the vx2200D set to give each sub 900-1000 rms it was even louder, but the subs couldn't take it that well for daily if you listen to stuff like young jeezy. I only had the bigger amp on them for a couple days then permantly ran the Orion on them for about 4 months and never had any issues.

So I guess I might better just run one of the 1605 D's at one ohm then...and give each 800 watts and hold out on the other one until I can get the other 2 R's....
