bout to take out the factory radio for the first time of my life lol

If you're gonna use a screwdriver, I would wrap it in electrical tape or something. Be weary about scratching your dash with a flathead //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

I remember some site had write-ups of taking apart dash's, let me see if I can find it for you real quick. maybe will give you a better idea of what I'm sayin...

Edit: I'm a retard. I was giving you instructions on the wrong car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif lmfao. one sec...

cool thanks man

If your rear speakers are in the rear deck of the car, the rear speaker wires are easily accessible by crawling into the trunk.
and how exactly would i hook up the loc to them?

The same way you would hook it up the back of the deck.

I normally just connect the speaker wires on a line out coverter together. So just twist the two positive wires together and the two negative wires. Then remove the speaker clip from one of the rear speakers and splice in the loc.

That's only if it's in the rear deck, tho. If the rear speakers are in the doors, taking off a doorpanel is usually a bigger p.i.t.a. then taking out the deck.

ok i beleive they r in the rear deck so ill try that first... i just twist the two positive wires on the loc and the two negative wires on the loc and connect them how to the speakers? with t-taps?

I fvcking hate t-taps. Probably cuz people come in all the time with a home done remote start all gay'd up with t-taps lmao.

But its up to you. I would use a pair of sidestrippers and solder in the wires //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

You have it correct, tho.

And if you're installing an amp, don't forget you also need a switched power source for the remote wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

oh god how do i install a switched power source lol

you need to find a switched power source, not install one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Basically need to locate any wire that is dead when the car is off and has 12v when the car is on or in the accessory position.

you might be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Do you own a multimeter? If not and you don't intend on doing much electrical work with cars I would just take it to a shop and have it professionally done.
