Bought the alt...

got a 160amp motorcity reman alt today for 125 shipped with a lifetime warranty. Big 3 is in line with 1/0 and it says it puts out 160a at 2200rpm and 80amps at idle i think i should be set. Think itll be up to par to power the whole system? specs in sig..

il be sure to get some pics up and let u all know how it works (might get autozone to bench it) once its in

hey i got the same alt from them for my cavy and it works great no complaints. and to let you know it'll be more than 160a. i'm a mech at pep boys and i ran a test on it after i put it in and it put out 214a at full tilt. so i think they underate the alts. so i just call mine a 200a alt. you'll be pleasantly surprised.

good to hear, they guy i was in touch with also made it clear the warranty does indeed cover the abuse on the alt of a high power system and shit so i think its a good deal
