Bought a DC alternator, do I need a MLA cable?

Its for a 2007 Honda Pilot. The alternator is a 250A/140A idle model. Do you think I will need one of these to get the best performance? I have some BIG NSB 125s that it will be charging if that makes any difference. I will also be running about 6kw.

u dont need one, but it will boost your voltage, not amps tho.

never saw the Meade video but I was just wondering if the computer in my Pilot would limit the charing capabilities of my new alty
