Boston ProSeries 10.5LF SUbwoofer????

Here is my thoughts on the two subs you are asking about. I first started with a single Alumapro 10" Alchemy MX ....

Not EVEN enough bass. So next i went to the D6 12" in a sealed box and the D5 amps .... That wasn't EVEN enough , so I went to this slot loaded enclosure ...

That got REALLY loud , but just didn't have the sound quality I wanted and was used to getting from a sealed box ...... So I added these amps to see if more power would help ..... Not even ....

So then I went to TWO of these, and found everything I was looking for ....

If they are both 10" subs , there will be very little difference in their output. I had a 12" D6 sub and found it really good , especially considering how inexpensive it was. The D6 was not on the same level as the Boston 12.5 LF where SQ is concerned , but was Just as loud. Their effiency and output capability was pretty much equal. I had 600w going to these subs.HTH

PS : NO single 10" SQ sub is going to give you the output you want in a 4-runner. You will need to look at a dedicated SPL sub , or at the very least go ported if you are trying to stay with a single 10" sub ..... There simply is no substitute for cone area ....
Ok... That make sense. I just need more air to be moved. Would a single Boston Pro do it with 750w @ 2ohms you think?

Single 12 with 750w ? Maybe ..... But remember , you ARE in a vehicle with a large cabin. I'm using two of those subs with 580w on EACH of them in a Dodge SRT-4 ...... While they DO get nice and loud , they are NOT a SPL sub ..... You'd be louder with two of them seeing 750w than with just one. More cones = more air moved .....

I'd try and go with two 12s , no matter what brand you choose, so long as your staying with the SQ loud route. It may be more expensive , but you will get what you're looking for that way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
