Boston Pro 12LF sub

i got the boston pro 12LF in a custom made box for my car in my car a 1994 saturn sc2 and powering at the moment with a RF Power series 222.5 bridged at round about 500watts and when i turn it up i get dissturtion is it because it would be under powered ? or is because of the box causeing dissturtion ? i would say i have enought power... it's a 1200watt peak sub

What's the box size?

Honestly, the BA Pro 12 doesn't get that loud. It has less than 10mm of linear xmax, and a small VC as well, so it doesn't really like much power either.

You may just want to get a different sub...
