Boston G5 Any good compared to others?

lol..I know I answered in your other thread but yes they are very good subs. Very clean sounding but also have the ability to get pretty loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

also..I have a couple myself and I have had plenty of other subs over the years. These are one of my favorites. They are not spl based subs but as I said..they still can get loud.

How do you guys have them setp? Box Volume, Type Etc? Should I go 2-Cube Ported, just worried about the excessive weight of the box!

I ran 2 before in a sealed box...about 1 cube per sub. I am about to have 3 of them sealed with a radiator for each sub and this box is also about 1 cube sealed per sub & radiator. You can try the ported but I don't know if your going to get much more output than you already are with the radiator. Why not just step up to 2 of the subs & radiators? Or maybe try throwing a bit more power at the one you currently have. These subs are pretty beefy..should be able to handle a few hundred watts over rms no problem.

also...how do you have the current box setup? Is you radiator on the opposite side of the box directly behind the sub? That is the best way imo even though I have seen people run them other ways.
