Boston Acoustics GT-2125 amp

I was thinking about using this amp on a single sub set up. I'm still debating on which sub, but it will be a 4 ohm load to get the 400 watts (bridged) the amp can provide. My concern is will this amp have any problems pushing that kind of load being it's an AB class amp. I usually run class D mono amp setups so I am not sure. I just didn't want to mess with it if it would potentially have thermal issues or something. Anyone have experience with this amp or any input? Thanks

Im running the GT-125, it gets hot like a typical class A/B but has never gone into protect.

Itll be fine. Especially if it takes a page from the book of the older GT amps.

I ran mine at 2 ohms bridged all day with zero issues. I know of a guy locally who ran his GT42 at like 0.7 ohm bridged and it was still fine.

This amplifier has a built in fan, which may help with cooling. I do believe one of the sides with a mesh on it should not be obstructed. Whether heat is an issue may also depend on the music type. If you listen to something like dubstep or rap or any music where bass is basically the primary "melody" content of the record, then the demands on the amplifier will be greater. If you listen to rock or pop music where the bass played is mostly kick drum and bass guitar, the demand on the subwoofer amplifier may actually be lighter compared to the midbass.
