bondo or wood filler for outer seams and screw holes

well to be honest i've never used wood glue on any of my boxes. Just liquid nail and screws, im thinking of going to harbour freight and buying some clamps and tryin one with no screws tight bond 2 all the way. I am undecided as of yet though. It would be my 1st with no screws. I am unsure on the outcome.

ok I may try it out I'm just confused on how it stays in place I know with the clamps and all. ill have to do some searching abd get some tips

I don't use screws on any of my boxes. Titebond2, Bunch of clamps, and that box will be solid for ever. The wood will break before the glue joints will. Router the edges, sand, and fill in the cracks and you have a nice box.

Definitely MDF dust/wood glue. I have used wood filler in the past, and it was a pain to work with and get right.

Just helped a friend build an enclosure and MDF dust/wood glue worked great. Never lookin' back!

The tongue and groove method is a sure way to make a solid box without screws.

ill have to do some research on the method when I get off work. I'm gonna build the box this weekend and I picking up a porter cable 690 router for 25 bucks works great just missing one handle which is a easy fix.

I have never used the tongue and groove method. I don't even use screws on comp boxes with 50lbs subs in them. (Just my experience, Never had a problem with one coming apart). If you have a router handy, get a good round over bit to round the edges. I also use the router with circle jigg to cut the holes. Bondo works and sands easy for seams or screw holes.

Look at the jasper Jigg on parts express. Makes cutting your speaker holes exact and easy.

yea I'm gonna pick one of them up. although the one I'm getting is a fixed base would it work with it or only plunge ones. but I have to finish this box this weekend so ill have to go another route.
