i have a 14ft aluminum boat and i found a 17.5 thrust trolling motor for pretty cheap will that push my boat very well or not....im new to the whole boating thing so i really dont know shit any help would be appreciated

Trolling motors are actually mounted at the front, and pull the boat. It'd be about as fast as paddleing, just without the work.

not nessasarily you can also mount them in the back to (usually a smaller one since its easier to push then pull larger ones are mounted on the front

this is also a fishing boat for smaller rivers and maybe canada where theres not much current

not a speed boat
