Ok, so I have a questions about a build I am going to do in the titled car. The kicks have 5.25" in them, there are a 2.5" midrange and a tweet in the doors. They are also 4" in the rear deck, and tweets in the rear doors, (I think).

My question is, should I even do anything with the rears? Change them, just take them out, leave them stock, etc.

Next question is how should I go about upgrading this thing? I already have a deck (need a better one), but am curious if I should just run the speakers off the stock amp and just replace them or just run a whole new 4 channel or something.

Lastly, I couldnt find many 5.25" 3-way component sets, so does anyone know of any, or should I just shoot for a 2 way set up and cut out the midrange?

My sub stage will probably be something to the likes of 2 Dayton HO 10s... On some mid quality amp, havent decided yet.

Its my brothers car, and I dont know a whole lot about installing in BMWs, but I know their stock systems ****.

Thanks for the help, any input is welcome.

The 5.25 will handle 80Hz - 6kHz in the kick. Tweets in a-pillars. No doors speakers necessary, poor locations anyway. No rears necessary. You want an amp for the front comps. Deaden and decouple the speaker from the kick, vent and absorptive fill as necessary.

Half your budget should be up front.

Sounds like you already have a plan. Hook it up and let us know how it worked. Good luck.
