Bluetooth audio help on a Kenwood KDC-BT958HD

So I just finally upgraded from a old deck (non-BT) to this one. Got the bluetooth audio to work but I cant get it to change folders. Manual says press the up/down button but that does nothing.

if it helps:

Phone - Samsung Galaxy S7 edge

Media storage - stored on SD card, one main folder with multiple sub folders.

also I dont have playlists...I just use folders.

Have you tried numbering the folders? Add a number to the end of the name of the folder or beginning. Example- Name Of Folder.1 Name Of Folder.2
