I have a 10" W6 JL Audio sub that appears to be have a blown voice coil. No bass comes out of it, just noise.. and if you push on the cone, it sounds like something is broken inside. Bizarre.

I'm assuming its the voice coil.. but I definitely could be wrong.

Any thoughts? Repairable?

have you even contacted a JL dealer yet for recone pricing? JL recone costs are stupid high BTW
I haven't spoken with a dealer yet. I spoke to JL, and they won't even fix it. They only repair items covered by warranty.

Is that what it needs you think? Recone?

i ahve a 10w6 anniversary edition and when u push mine in it sounds like its cracking and it gets stuck...the coils on mine are toast im pretty sure...it sounds like yours needs the same but im not sure...i have 3 w6 ae's and i put em up on ebay although one isnt working so hopefully i can get rid of them..
