Blown Tweeter?

One of my tweeters has stoped working. I was on my way to work and noticed my sound suddenly become unbalanced. The tweeter produces no audiable noise. if it was blown wouldn't it at least have some crackling distorted noise? The tweeter is from a set of morell dotech ovations. Could it bae a small internal connection in the twEeter itsself? And yes, I have check all of my wiring and such.

If its blown and is not making any kind of noise than there is probably a break or opening in the voice coil or any part of that wire. Basically the current will not travel through because there is a break in its path. Its most likely blown, but, double check all of the connections, at the amp, at the tweeter itself, at any speaker/terminal that is on the same line as the tweeter, ect.

I blew a ring radiator tweeter and it would only make the most faint noise even at high output levels. I think the entire cone came unattached.
