hifonics tx1505d running 40 VAC @ 45hz vol 28/35
2 pioneer ts-w306c subs (rated 400 rms SVC 4 ohm)
both subs wired at 2 ohms, amps pushing 800...
at volume 30, they make a "popping" noise, but do not reach full excursion, **** near but they can travel a little more... what i want to know is why they do not slam like they used to... before i could turn it up to volume 26 and they would wang, now they just "play" but do not wang like they once did. Setup is the same, box is the same, amp is pushing the power, subs both show proper ohms with a dmm... what do you think the problem is
btw... while i was setting the gain, i disconnected only one terminal for the speakers, well the speaker terminal accidently touched while i was setting it... teh loud boooom, that is the exact moment in time they stopped wanging like they used to... but they still played.. do you think i may have messed up something?
