blown sub ??

VC's should read around 1.8-2.2. Pull that sub and see what both sides read and see if one side is way out of wack.

Could also be the sub not tightened down enough and letting a lot of air get by or wired out of phase.

What amp and Ohm load are you running? What are the dimensions of the enclosure? sealed or ported?Tuned too? You may be better off buying a pair...

I have a zapco 4.0 and 6.0 that was stored in an area near the beach and corroded it pretty bad. Never was powered since it was stored working...
