blown sub?

Lately my sub has stopped working on me. It doesnt put out any noticeable bass unless I put my head in the trunk or put my hand on the speaker cone. Any thoughts on what the cause of this problem could be? Is it possibly blown or has a wire come loose somewhere? Thanks in advance.
