Blown stock speaker needs replacement! Need suggestions

So My gf has a blown right front speaker in her 2010 focus, and it's driving her nuts. Just looking for something to replace the fronts with for around $50 off the stock head unit. Any suggestions? She listens to pretty much everything. She will be happy with anything I just cant bring myself to buy pyle, or something on the extreme low end.

A pair of Pioneer TS-A874M 6x8s would do alright. A better option would be JBL GTO8628's. I think it would be a pretty big difference between those two choices, if you want her to appreciate it more.

I was actually looking at those jbls. Would 2 ohm speakers be a problem with the factory head unit? Or do they come in a 4 ohm as well?

From what i understanding, sensitivity will play a big part if it is ran off a factory head unit. Just because a 25rms speaker with a 95 sensitivity will play louder than a 75w rms speaker with a 82 sensitivity. That's the problem with running stronger speakers off the 8-10w factory radio. Usually if a customer dosnt want to run an amp/powerful head unit, we put in speakers with a lighter cone such as paper. There are some pioneers with a sparkley black cone that sound amazing, same with the alpine type e's

Parts-express is selling off an inventory of Bravox factory buyout speakers. They have Kevlar and Carbon Fiber _components_ for 5x7 holes (6x8 should work just fine) for just $60-70. This is amazing value, there used to be a "group buy" deals on these on forum for like over $200 a set. Also, PE has coaxial Bravox speakers, check them out.

By the way, how was the factory speaker? Factory speakers on newer fords didn't seem so bad to me. Heard a 6x8 coaxial Ford speakers in a 2005 500, and I was impressed with its bass, sensitivity and clarity (for a factory speaker at least).

I will def check out the bravox. I didnt even realize there were any still around. I dont think the factiry setup is that bad for what it is, better than my new jeep, its terrible.
