Blown speakers/ tweeters hurt ears now

I was told by my local shop i blew my two door speakers (sony xplod 6x9 400watts). I originally took it in to ask why they weren't playing mids like they were before i had my sub installed, well this was apparently the reason.

Since i blew the bass part on them, im assuming, i've noticed the tweeters are really discomforting to my ears. I have a seven band EQ, and bands 3-7 are turned all the way down and they still hurt. Is this normal...? I know i need new speakers anyways but i was wondering if there was a fix to this in the meantime.

make sure hpf on the deck if you have it is turned off and make sure its not a signal problem why the mids arent working. As for a solution to the tweets if you already have the eq turned down on the higher bands the only other thing you can do is fade to the rear and get the speakers to play quieter.

Just replace the system.

Blown door speakers and tweets playing full tilt is not going to get better.

Pick you up a budget 2 or 4 channel amp, and (recommended, recommended, don't buy Wal-Mart stuff ever) passive component set. Should make a world of difference.

Crossover, i got that idea just an hour ago lol. I turned them all the way off, it's so much better now.

I'm replacing the two front speakers soon though! My back ones have very ****** treble so im riding around with a ton of bass and that's about it right now, in only half of the truck.
