Blown Speaker?? Please Help Me

Hey I currently have a set of cdt cl61A's in my truck, but awhile ago I was getting an Orion 4002 installed to power them and my installer messed up some how and fried the amp. Then about a month or two later my speakers(which were just wired to my deck) started to screech at high volumes and when I told another installer about it he said it sounded like they are blown.

Now I think its the mids that are blown but I'm not sure, because it will only start to screech sometimes. If I took my truck to a shop would they be able to take the speaker out and tell if its blown or not? Also do you think that there could be a problem with the tweets or the x-overs? Please help me out.

Thanks

Easy way to tell if a woofer is blown, take both hands, and apply an even, gentle downward pressure on the woofer (make sure its level) a few times and if you hear crackling its blown.
