Blown factory amp in a 90 grand marquis?

Installed a known good deck in a 90 grand marquis today and it didnt produce any sound, same as the factory radio. All it does is make turn on and turn off thumps. Has the ford premium sound setup. The amp is located in the right side of the trunk, any way to test this other than guessing the factory amp is blown? I used the right harness but the radio also had like a 9 pin plug on it, not sure what that was for as i dont do many fords. Any input on this?
